Christina Öberg

Biography

Christina Öberg is an assistant professor at Department of Industrial Management and Logistics. She defended her PhD at Linköping University and has since conducted research and worked as an assistant professor at Linköping University. She was the head of bachelor theses at the university. In 2011, she joined Lund University. She was a visiting professor at Manchester Business School during 2010.

Christina has an industry background and has worked in leading positions within finance as well as ran her own business. She has been a head accountant at L E Lundbergföretagen AB (publ), a financial manager at the world's leading privately held teaching institute EF, and worked as an autorised accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers since 2008.

Research interests

Christina's research interests concern issues related to industrial marketing: changes in business relationships, perception of them, and consequences of changes. Her thesis project concerned how customer relationships affect and are affected by mergers and acquisitions. Since the thesis, Christina has increasingly focused on innovations related to mergers and acquisitions, and network perceptions and identities. Her research has been published in such journals as Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management and International Journal of Innovation Management.

Nominations and scholarships

Christina is a member of the IMP Group, EECC and ISPIM Scientific Panel. Her thesis was prized by the Ekonomiska Klubben and she has had several research papers nominated for best paper awards and invited for publication. Scholarships have enabled Christina to conduct research in the UK at several instances.
