Bertil I Nilsson

Biography
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Production and Organisation), Lund University of Technology 1974. Licentiate of Science in Industrial Management, Lund University of Technology 1984.

Bertil I Nilsson worked for Alfa-Laval AB 1974-1981. During that time he worked with international turnkey projects as a project manager and department manager for postcontract operations. He was also a short time manager for the development department.
1981 he joined Institute for Management of Innovation and Technology, as area co-ordinator in southern Sweden. He also participated in projects with focus on strategic and project management.
1985 he was recruited to Felix AB, a part of the Volvo AB. As Assistant to the vice president, he was responsible for production development, participated in acquisitions and sub-contractor negotiations.
He became senior consultant 1990 in VBB and involved in the department for Industrial Development, for which he later was appointed as manager. In this role he was responsible for the activities of international projects in the subsidiary AgriConsult AB. 1995 he established ResursBruket AB, a consulting firm with focus on development of production and competence, together with quality auditing, expediting and inspections.

He joined this department 1980 as a lecturer on part time and has since then been teaching in the areas of strategic management, project management and quality management. He has also developed both new courses and literature for the courses. 2001 he was appointed as associate assistant professor.

Teaching
Bertil I Nilsson has been teaching in the areas of strategic management and project management. Today he is teaching in the following courses:

• Production Management (MIO051)

• Management of Production Systems (MIO660)

• Project Management (MIO 680)

He is also tutor in Master Thesis-projects.
